Registration for the East Atlantic Flyway Youth Forum (EAFYF), held online from 9-10 September 2023, closes on 31 July.
The annual forum is aimed at young wetland conservationists aged between 18 and 30 from coastal countries along the East Atlantic Flyway interested in migratory birds or wetlands conservation.
Held in English and French, the two-day forum is organized by the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat, Migratory Birds for People, and Youth Engaged in Wetlands.
This year’s focus is “Conservation Storytelling” – an important skill set identified by previous EAFYF participants as needed to support communication with stakeholders from different backgrounds.
The forum will help participants to understand their audience and connect with them, build compelling conservation stories for local communities and nature reserve visitors, and effectively use channels such as social media, radio, and podcasts.
Places are limited, and participants will be selected based on geographical location, profession, and time commitments while considering gender balances.
