Oceanwide Expeditions is a Founding Member and played a role in the history of LT&C. We were already in the 1990s involved in the coalition of nature conservation organisations and tour operators developing Arctic tourism guidelines and are proud that with our involvement Svalbard became a prominent LT&C-Example. We continue to provide opportunities for LT&C-guided study tours to the Arctic and also the Antarctic, including the LT&C-Example South Georgia, where the LT&C-concept is presented on site. It has been often proven that such tours are so inspiring and motivating to our passengers that they become active supporters of nature conservation.
