 The Naturerbe Zentrum Rügen with its Tree Top Walk is located in northeastern Germany on the island of Rügen. It is the one and only Tree Top Walk in Europe located on the coast (Baltic Sea) and is one of Five Tree Top Walks build by the Erlebnis Akademie AG. The Erlebnis Akademie AG (www.eak-ag.de) is in progress to realize more sites in different countries and will continue to merge nature experience and environmental education with the help of spectacular architecture and research in the canopy. At the Naturerbe Zentrum Rügen (www.nezr.de) we invite young and old explorers, tourists, classes, and scientists to get new perspectives on nature. Experience the unique combination of a modern Information Centre and Tree Top Walk, both shedding light on a variety of nature-related subjects. After a relaxing stroll through the canopy the viewing tower “aerie” awaits you with breathtaking views over the island and marine sceneries. The tree top walk, the interactive exhibitions as well as guided walks to various highlights of the DBU Natural Heritage Site, will deliver exceptional insights into the biological diversity of the prevailing ecosystems: forest, open habitats and wetlands. Especially on the aerie, it only takes a little luck to get a chance to observe the majestic white-tailed sea eagle native to the island.
