On Tuesday, 13 December, Michael Meyer, LT&C’s co-chair, is participating in a COP15 side event: “Nature Positive Travel & Tourism.”
Speakers from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Animondial, Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, NatureMetrics, and Wildlife Conservation Society will discuss nature-positive tourism and how to integrate it across the industry.
They will also consider how a Nature Positive Tourism approach can support Protected Areas and bring benefits for biodiversity in global destinations.
If you’re attending COP15, the session will take place at the Nature Positive Pavilion.
Date: 13 December
Time: 1630hrs Eastern Standard Time
Place: COP15, Nature Positive Pavilion, small room
Montréal, Canada
The event will also be live-streamed via this link.
The side event is hosted by WTTC, in association with ANIMONDIAL, to lead a ‘Nature Positive’ approach to realize the industry’s potential to be a “Guardian of Nature.” This encourages Travel & Tourism businesses to mainstream biodiversity throughout their operations and supply chains, take action to avoid or minimize negative impacts, and play a proactive role in nature protection and restoration.
